Back from the dead!
Well, not quite, but it has been way too long since I've updated everyone on my exciting life. You guys are so lucky I take time out of my busy schedule to let you in on the big things going on in my life. People ask me all the time, "Chris, what are you up to these days? Last I heard, you were in grad school!" Well, my friends, I am living the life! I've moved back home with my folks, in the same bedroom I had when I was in junior high school, have no job, and cry myself to sleep every night. Like I said, living the life! Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Anyways, now that I've got that off my chest, here's some things that you might care about...

My good friend Lucas has been on the road almost constantly for the past month, and will be for the next 3 as his team competes in the Formula BMW USA series. These cars are only a step below Indy cars, so they kick some serious ass. He is the engineer for Atlantic Racing Team, based out of Halifax. Right now, they've got one driver (Philip Major, age 18), and for a new team/driver combination, they are doing great! Their next two races are in Montreal, coinciding with the Formula 1 race to be held June 25th. I'm hoping to head up for the weekend too, it should be a blast. I got to help him out when he brought the cars to Nova Scotia for some testing and managed to snap some pictures. I could live in their trailer, which comes complete with satellite tv and internet, and full kitchen and desk space. And room for 3 to sleep in the truck!
Besides wishing I was on the road with the race team, I've been playing a bit of soccer lately. Our team is brand new this year (Kartbahn United), so we're still working out the kinks, but I'm having lots of fun, and being my usual loud self on the field. I need an excuse to run around like a goof for 90 minutes, so soccer seemed like a good idea. Plus, the local slopitch teams weren't paying me enough to play, so I decided to pass.

Don't forget, the World Cup started today, and runs for the next month. My pick, seeing as Canada still hasn't made it, is Brazil. It's tough being the bad guy when your best friends are German and Italian, but since I can't win at life, I may as well try and win at sports predictions! But seriously, with fans like this, it's tough to root against them!

That's about all I've got to update for now, but I'm sure I'll be able to bore you with more stories soon enough. Stay tuned to this same bat channel for more info later!

true to your word, you updated your site. it's now one of my favourites. it's a dull, dreary day in freddy beach and as i work on the 63rd revision to my 50-page intro, i think of you and all others in the same friggin' boat. my only solace is that it's raining. i'm off to fill my prozac prescription - chris can i get you some...tata
